The online edition of the Telegraph newspaper features Terry Richardson, long time resident of Turkey and travel writer. Over the years Terry has acquired a following of readers who have an interest in what he has to say about Turkey. He lives in Antalya, among other places, and has a great interest in the Mediterranean Coast in general, and the Lycian Way in particular.
In this his most recent article he tells us of the Attractions of the Turquoise Coast of Turkey where Kaş is on his short list. “Clinging to the skirts of a mountain that plunges straight into an azure sea, Kaş was once a somnolent fishing port…its heart a cluster of old Greek fishermen’s cottages on narrow streets around the Lycian lion tomb…The waters are among the clearest in the Mediterranean and scuba-diving is big business. Indeed the town is Turkey’s outdoor capital, offering paragliding, mountain-biking, canyoning and walking.” He recommends Bougainville Travel for these activities.
In another article specifically written about Kaş called Kaş: where the mountains meet the sea, Terry writes “The seaside town of Kaş, at the southernmost reaches of Turkey’s beautiful Lycian coast, is one of the most charming resorts in the country.” Terry says for “Adventure and diving: Bougainville was one of the first operators in town and has pioneered many of the activities now on offer.”
